TinCan and SCORM are the most widely used e-learning standards supported by many LMSs.
The learning record store (LRS) is the heart of any Experience API (xAPI) ecosystem, receiving, storing, and returning data about learning experiences, achievements, and job performance. Our software can seamlessly forward data to any LRS.
Usually, LMSs do not have developed systems for testing or providing training courses, while our application can integrate with any LMS adding test engine functionalities. The major advantage of integrating YouTestMe with LMS is the ease by which user details can be passed to YouTestMe for testing purpose, or test results returned to record and reference back in LMS.
Learning-related activity data can range from simple test results, as in the case of SCORM, to more complex modern experiences results and detailed answers as it is the TinCan standard. From this example, we see that YouTestMe also supports Single sign-on (SSO). This allows users to log in YouTestMe account by using credentials from other LMS.
People turn to manual Flat File exchange because it is common and ubiquitous, cost-effective, and suit several purposes in an uncomplicated way.
Often, there is also the inability of other systems to configure with YouTestMe, or the incongruency within different networks, YouTestMe team has resolved this issue with several institutions and has a large number of configurable flat-files templates to support any standard. (A large number of templates that it supports, as well as the ability to adjust new templates.)
It is often the case that test frames/ shells are created in one system, while testing sessions are scheduled and users created in another, and then after the tests are completed, the results are exported as files to a format supported by an external system.
